Expert lecture on Skills for the future : Navigating the 21st century

There was a programme at Birsa Munda Tribal University held on 11th February. The title of the programme was "Skills for the future: Navigating the 21st century". It was conducted by Dr.Sahdev Luhar, Associate professor at the Central University of Gujarat. 

The purpose of learning "Skills for the future: Navigating the 21st century" is to prepare individual to succeed in the modern world by building essential skills that go beyond textbooks.

During the session, he discussed the 12 skills of 21st century learners, especially in the context of educational research. These skills were divided into learning skills and life skills. They focus on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information literacy, media literacy, technology literacy, flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity and social skills.

He explained each skill with clear examples that everyone could understand easily. I learnt many things about these skills, which were taught by Dr. Sahdev Luhar sir. What I learnt from this session will be very useful for my further studies and for living a good life. 

By learning these skills, I can 

  • Navigate future careers better
  • Make ethical and informed decisions 
  • Contribute positively to society 
  • face challenges with confidence

The session was very impactful and knowledgeable for me.
